About Our Venue
The Freudian Slip is an outdoor casual venue intended to
engender a friendly and blithe atmosphere. Our venue
features include:
Stage - Our stage has counter-rotating cogs to provide
the illusion of a rotating stage, but the main stage
floor is stationary so performers do not need to take
any special precautions while performing. Permanent
fixtures include 3 microphones and a piano (a DJ booth
hidden beneath the stage and is raised or lowered as
needed). Please do not approach the stage while a
performer is live. Doing so may get you ejected from the
parcel.
"On Deck" Platform - Our "On Deck" platform is a
rectangular block floating just beside the stage between
it and our dancing deck. This little spot is just large
enough for one or two people to stand on and is intended
for performers who want to be ready to take the stage
while waiting for another performer to finish their set.
Audience members should leave this area empty for
performers: our audio stream is not plugged into the on
deck area.
Dancing Deck - Our dancing deck is where visitors arrive
when they take the bridge from Esprit Décor to the
Freudian Slip. There are stationary couples' dancing
poseballs and male/female dance animators provided for
single dancers.
Lounging Deck - Our lounging deck provides
retro-decorated beanbags for guests to pile on and
enjoy.

Lounging Lagoon - Our lounging lagoon surrounds the
stage and provides retro-decorated inner tubes for
guests to ride and play upon while enjoying the show.
Bumper car inner tube madness is not the fault of
management ;-)

"Lookout" Deck - Our "lookout" deck is the TP-in point
for the venue and the mid-point between the lounging and
dancing decks. It also has a few "dangle your feet over
the edge" floor seating poses for those who wish to
enjoy the show from an eagle-eye view. The corner post
is labeled "iliyana's perch" and is reserved for our
sliptastic host, iliyana Carillon. Sitting in her spot
may cause you to be beaten with sticks, so enter at your
own risk.
Garden Promenade - Our Garden Promenade is a lovely area
on the mainland between the Freudian Slip and Espit
Décor. There are some nice snuggling spots for couples,
lounging areas for friends, and a tranquil meditation
grove for those who just need to get zen. The live music
stream is also plugged into this area for those who wish
to enjoy performances in a more romantic or removed
setting.
